SLEEPING IN THE JUNGLE
People staying at Chimps' Nest can choose to use:
Self-contained cottages, all with a splendid view
Self contained tree houses inside the forest
Family Cottage inside the forest, next to the river Dura
Backpackers rooms
Camping uphill, with a splendid view, or downhill, inside the jungle
TREE HOUSES
For really adventurous people, we have the option to sleep in a tree house in the jungle!
We have 2 tree houses in the jungle, built high into a tree (8 to 10 meters high). This gives the unique opportunity to stay on eye level with the monkeys who daily visit the tree houses and the jungle surrounding it.
On an average day you can see more than 5 species of monkeys and sometimes even chimps!
The tree houses are nearby the elephant walking trails, so if you are lucky you might spot them walking around in the night or early morning.
FAMILY COTTAGE
The family cottage is built on a beautiful location at the river Dura, inside the forest. You will be surrounded by various colorful birds, monkeys (incl. Chimps), elephants and other wildlife. It holds two bedrooms with flexible beds which can be either twins or doubles, a living room, a spacious bathroom with hot shower, separate flush toilet and a large balcony hovering over the river. This river is the official border of the Kibale National Park.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk downhill from the restaurant / parking to the cottage and 15 minutes uphill. There is space for one extra mattress on the floor with mosquito net in each bedroom.
We have room service so you don't have to walk up and down all the time. You can enjoy the sounds of the forest from the balcony to the fullest! You will have 100 liters of warm water and 250 liter of cold water available every day. A radio is provided to call for room service or emergencies.
The family cottage can accommodate 1 up to 6 persons in two bedrooms.
CAMPING AND BACKPACKER ROOMS
Chimps' Nest also provides some good backpackers rooms and a nice camping site. People with their own tent can choose to camp uphill, with a splendid view of the forest, or downhill, inside the jungle. Backpackers and campers have sufficient access to flushing toilets, wash basins and warm showers.
COTTAGES

The cottages are self-contained with a luxurious and nicely finished shower.
